New York is the most Instagram-friendly city in the world

Ask any millennial: If you go somewhere and don’t post a picture on social media, were you ever really there? Luckily, New York’s full of breathtaking art and mouth-watering treats, begging to be shared to your feed.

Here are the most Insta-worthy snaps in the city right now.

Avocado pizza

Brian Zak

Avocado toast is all the rage online, but Kola House chef Jon Feshan found that most options out there were too imbalanced. So he came up with his own twist — an avocado pizza ($18). Sliced avocados, radish, sunflower seeds and a lemony cilantro salsa top a base that’s a combo of pita, pizza dough and lavash (a Persian bread). “It’s absolutely shareable,” says Feshan, “But I eat it by myself!” Don’t show up too late, though — only 12 of the pies are available per night, and they usually sell out. 408 W. 15th St.; 646-869-8873, KolaHouse.com

Murals

No trip to Coney Island is complete without a stop at the Coney Art Walls, a vibrant collection of street art forming an outdoor museum. For Instagrammers like 32-year-old Kimberly Holness of Norwood, it’s a photo-op mecca. “I like that it’s an open space that has an artistic feel, rather than just seeing murals on walls sporadically throughout New York,” she says. More than 20 new pieces were added this year. 3050 Free. Stillwell Ave.; ConeyArtWalls.com

Cotton-candy cloud cones

Brian Zak

Social-media users flock to sweet shop Wu Kong for its viral ice-cream cones wrapped in an enormous cloud of cotton candy ($6.99). “It’s a very Instagrammable food spot,” says Frances Fan, a 30-year-old from College Point who stopped by for a pic.

Customers make their own color explosion with a choice of ice cream (such as the cherry-bubblegum-flavored Super Hero), cotton candy (think pink vanilla) and unlimited toppings, ranging from animal crackers to Pocky. 109-B Lafayette St.; 917-346-0051, WuKong.us

Rooftop art

The spectacular view from the Cantor Roof Garden at the Metropolitan Museum of Art offers new photo-ops with this year’s installation, “The Theater of Disappearance” by Adrián Villar Rojas. Visitors can snap 16 sculptures that mesh human figures with replicas of almost 100 pieces from the museum’s collection. Gretchan Bolstorff, a 53-year-old nurse visiting from Colorado, was particularly drawn to a sculpture of a man at a table. “I want to sit next to him!” she jokes, wine from the bar in hand. “Buy me another one, buddy!” $25 suggested admission. 1000 Fifth Avenue; 212-535-7710, MetMuseum.org

Macaron ice-cream sandwiches

Brian Zak

The wildly popular (and ’grammable) Los Angeles ice cream shop MILK, home of the macaron ice-cream sandwich ($6), is in the Big Apple for a pop-up shop, open noon till midnight, now through Sunday. Thirty-one-year-old math teacher-turned-Instagram star Jessica Hirsch, known as @CheatDayEats to her more than 350,000 followers, is a big fan of the Fruity Pebbles flavor. The proof’s in the photo she shared on her feed: “I only feature food that I eat,” she says, “and I only post things that I love.” 52 Kenmare St.; TheMilkShop.com

Pride art

Brookfield Place

Show your LGBT support with a shot in front of the #LoveIs letters at the Waterfront Plaza at Brookfield Place. The installation, on display through Sunday, features 16,000 silk roses in all the colors of the rainbow in 8-foot-tall letters spelling out the hashtag. “Love has won, and now love is,” says Brookfield’s Callie Haines. This snap also does some good: Tag @BrookfieldPLNY and #LoveIs, and Brookfield will donate $1 to the Hetrick-Martin Institute, a nonprofit support organization for LGBT youth. Death-defying glass floor

Brian Zak

The Heights at Arlo NoMad, which opened in May, serves up a thrill you won’t find at just any rooftop bar. On the 31st floor of the hotel, this hot spot features a cantilevered glass floor that when standing atop feels like a cross between riding in a glass bottom boat and, well, flying. Guests love grabbing pics of their feet and summery drinks (like the $16 tequila-based Brooklyn Heights cocktail, complete with a slice of watermelon) as cabs pass below. “Literally, I feel like I’m on top of the world,” says Robert Psolka, a 23-year-old from Westfield, NJ. 11 E. 31st St.; 212-951-1141, TheHeightsArloNoMad.com

Pool art

Brian Zak

The public pool at Manhattan Park has gotten its annual face-lift, this time with an installation by artist Gregg Emery. Entitled “Waves off Roosevelt Island,” sherbet-colored swirls cover the pool’s 8,000-square-foot cement surfaces. “I went out yesterday, and this little girl with her father was tracing one of the circles with her father and describing which were her favorites to him,” says Emery. “I love the way people are interacting with it.” $35 per person on weekdays, $50 on weekends and holidays. 30 River Road; 212-759-8660, ManhattanPark.com

Rainbow pizza

Brian Zak

In this post-Unicorn Frappuccino world, it’s the most colorful food that gets the most love on Instagram. But Industry Kitchen chef Braulio Bunay actually came up with the idea for this pizza when he saw a rainbow one day over the East River from his restaurant. Thus was born the Pop Candy Land Pizza ($18), which features a dyed dough covered with cream cheese, sprinkles, Pop Rocks and a mountain of cotton candy. Natalie Rowland, a 27-year-old nurse visiting from England, gave it a try. “It’s nothing like I’ve ever tasted before!” she says. 70 South St.; 212-487-9600, Industry-Kitchen.com

Glass art

You’ll have a hard time choosing what to post from the New York Botanical Garden’s CHIHULY exhibition, which features more than 20 pieces from renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly alongside nature’s own art. “It changes the way people look at the landscape, and it changes the way that people look at the artwork,” says Karen Daubmann, NYBG’s associate vice president of exhibitions and public engagement. Overwhelmed by the 250 acres? Start with the yellow curls of the Sol del Citron, which has garnered the most selfies. $23 on weekdays, $28 on weekends and holidays. 2900 Southern Blvd., The Bronx; 718-817-8700, NYBG.org
