For a second year a row, Coney Island’s “Outdoor Museum of Street Art”—aka Greenwood Beach at The Coney Island Walls—will return to America’s original playground in Brooklyn, starting May 13. Featuring murals by an international line-up of artists, the exhibit has rapidly become one of the biggest showcases for Street Art in New York CityLast year’s edition included wall projects by Aiko, Crash and Lady Pink among others, and this year’s show will feature a selection of 21 new artists (to be announced) curated by super gallery dealer Jeffrey Deitch and Coney Island developer Joe Sitt. Food will be part of the fun with goodies from Patacon Pisao, Chick-N-Cone and Coney Shack, among other vendors. The proceedings will be up through the end of October, with hours noon to 7pm daily (except October when it will be weekends only). Be sure to bring your cameraphone, because as the photos of last year’s festivities show, these walls are Instagram ready.
