Exclusive: Meet the Hot and Handy Men of
These models turned handymen are available for light construction — and heavy flirting! In an exclusive interview and photo shoot with In Touch, on newsstands now, the hunks of the Style Network’s new reality show BUILT, gave us a sneak peek into their lives as — and at their their droolworthy bodies! Shane Duffy, Sandy Dias, Gage Kass, Donny Ware and Mike Keute all work at Hott and Handy, a firm, with locations in New York, Miami and LA, that hires them out by the hour to landscape, build furniture and hang wallpaper for grateful (usually female) customers. “Women hire us for the eye candy,” the company’s co-owner Shane, 32, admits. “My policy is that there’s no fraternization with the clients until the job is over. Then it’s fair game.”
So how did Shane come up with the idea to start the unique service? “We were putting up Christmas lights for a client,” he says. “She offered to pay us double if we’d work with our shirts off!” But the fact that all the men are drop-dead gorgeous doesn’t mean they’re all beauty and no brains.
In addition to working as a Calvin Klein underwear model,
Mike, 24, is studying at New York’s Fordham University for a
combined MBA and law degree. Sandy was also getting his
degree in aeronautical technology when he was
discovered as a model.
The boss tries to keep the guys’ jobs on schedule, but there’s only one problem when clients hire the hot Mr. Fix-It’s: “They want us to stay longer!” Sandy laughs.
BUILT debuts on the Style Network on Jan. 28, but for more from the sexy handymen, pick up the latest issue of In Touch — on newsstands now.
Hot and Handy Models Are More Than Just
November 29, 2012
We met up with some really hot men today (yes, this iswhat we do at work) who changed our whole perception of deliciously, sexy, steaming, smokin’ hot models (OK, they only kind of changed it up).
These five caliente guapos are part of a new reality TV series on Style. These five caliente guapos are part of a new reality TV series on Style.
“Built” premieres in January and will showcase the men doing handy work in different homes (mostly in their tank tops, as one guy informed us). They’re all high-fashion male models, but they prove they’ve got more skills than just killing it on the runway and taking drool-worthy pics.
The back story goes beyond just dudes to look at while they fix a broken pipe. Hot and Handy is actually a construction company started up by part Panamanian hottie Shane Duffy. What’s the criteria for making the cut? Simple: you have to be hot and handy. All five of the men have construction backgrounds and despite slipping into modeling after agents stalked them in the most random places including Sea World (no, we’re not kidding, that’s where one dude was discovered) met Duffy, and eventually became part of a company developed in 2010. And how sweet were these guys?? They all said they were just really excited to provide a service for families after they get treated like “pieces of meat” at times in the modeling industries. Now, they get to showcase their talents (and good looks) Monday nights at 9pm beginning January 28. But we have to admit that despite their handy skills, we will probably be looking at them as, well, pieces of meat too. We just don’t get to see hot men in construction every day! And stay tuned for relationship advice from these hotties!!
