Nylon – Jerome Lordet Salon

Miley Cyrus’s hair is a fascination of the world. She’s already had nearly every hair color and cut possible and still, when her hair changes, it sends ripples through the media and the salons. Over the past year, the colorist who has been responsible for her ever-changing hair is New York hair colorist Alexis Yoshico. Post Miley’s stark, platinum-and-black lowlights phase, Yoshico has been a part of ushering the singer into a new era of softer, but still playful, hair color. Their collaboration includes Miley’s most recent headline making look at this years Grammys — where the singer’s hair was fluffed and teased to the heavens, showing off golden highlights weaving through her now long, bronze hair.
Day to day, Yoshico works out of Jerome Lordet Salon in New York City, where she exercises her full range of impressive coloring skills as a specialist in rainbow and pastel hair color. But whether she’s creating a look that’s subtly sun-kissed or unicorn-inspired, her favorite thing about her work is the joy and satisfaction that comes with translating her clients’ dream hair colors into real life.

People Magazine – Hilary Swank x Yes And

As a mom to 1-year-old twins, Hilary Swank admits she spends a lot of time “in my robe!”
But when the two-time Oscar winner, mom and entrepreneur goes to pull together an outfit from her closet, it’s always one she can feel good about. That’s because Swank prioritizes re-wearing pieces in her own wardrobe and shopping from sustainable brands.
Her latest project champions just that.
On April 22, Earth Day, Swank and conscious clothing brand YesAnd debuted their limited-edition capsule collection in partnership with the styling subscription service DailyLook.

Paper Magazine- Emira D’Spain

There are stories from our local legends: Getting past supermodel Connie Fleming’s list at the door of every party that matters; seeing PR queen Kelly Cutrone expertly manage front row seating during NYFW; witnessing LES icon Clayton Patterson photograph cool kids outside his longtime home on Essex Street; hearing Bernie Wagenblast’s iconic voice announce the arrival of MTA subways during every commute; Susanne Bartsch still serving looks.
Then, a newer cast of characters, many of whom have leveraged the internet to unlock the world’s attention: Julia Fox’s A-List ascension after years being the Big Apple’s secret darling; Blizzy McGuire dominating newsfeeds while influencing the personal styles of fashion’s biggest it-girls; Emira D’Spain reaching millions through her “sugar daddy” TikTok beauty tutorials; Sabrina Brier’s painfully relatable impersonations; Davis Burleson’s viral Washington Square Park interviews; Gia Love’s tireless advocacy that makes a tangible cultural impact.

Vogue- alice + olivia

Amid a glimmering, kaleidoscopic sea of sequins, feathers, and crystals last night, New York City’s Terminal 5 was nearly unrecognizable. Stacey Bendet, founder of alice + olivia, teamed up with Paris Hilton to transform the grungy concert venue into a pink, posh, and perfectly playful extravaganza. From (my favorite) the prize-filled claw machine, to the Big Feelings (alice + olivia’s sister brand) swag shop housing all things Paris Hilton, to the rainbow boxes serving Serafina pizza to the Absolut Sliving Cosmos, every element was thoughtfully orchestrated. The evening culminated with a crowning performance by Hilton herself, previewing “I’m Free,” the lead single from her upcoming Infinite Icon album.

Staying on the topic of lip color – maybe you’d like to take a more custom approach. This playful balm detects the natural pH levels of your lips to reveal a “uniquely you” shade of pink. Bonus points for it’s lovely vanilla scent!
Winky Lux was founded by Natalie Mackey in 2015 to make cruelty-free, high-quality beauty products that deliver joy.

Bustle- Pierre Michel

Follow hair stylist Jerome Lordet’s trick for adding fullness to hair by using a buildable hairline powder. The NYC-based salon director at Pierre Michael Salon shares, “If you’re noticing sparse areas when your hair is in a sleek pony or bun, or just want day-to-day scalp coverage, using a scalp foundation that’s buildable, blendable, and waterproof can help you to achieve the most natural results.” This product comes in multiple shades and tightly locks to your hair follicles, providing lasting coverage until your next hair wash.

Refinery 29- Winky Lux

Much like everything else in makeup, it’s dye! Your skin is reacting to dye. Some dyes can be colorless, weak acids that turn into colored pigments when applied on the skin. They react differently at different pH levels. “These dyes are able to act like pH indicators, meaning the color is unique to you,” explains Winky Lux CEO Natalie Mackey. Mackey says that the ‘indicator’, or dye, is responding to the specific pH of your own lips, and that’s what determines the shade it becomes — typically pink or coral.

Byrdie- Emira D’Spain

The Influencer: Emira D’Spain

“Emira D’Spain might be newly famous on TikTok, but when it comes to the beauty industry, she’s been here for years. Bringing together makeup know-how (she’s the former beauty director at Paper), complete transparency (which includes openly documenting everything from facials to her BBL journey), and a vernacular and sense of humor all her own, it’s no surprise she’s blown up. The only question is why it didn’t happen sooner. With a contract signed with Victoria’s Secret, the first Black trans model to do so, over 1M followers, and the most in-demand product recommendation list around, there are plenty of receipts to back up her win as Byrdie’s Beauty Influencer of the Year.

Cindy Mello- Grazia

Model Cindy Mello traveled to Qatar for the 2022 FIFA Wold Cup — and she took GRAZIA USA along for the ride with her exclusive photo diary. Mello, who posed for the likes of Dior and has been busy jet-setting throughout the year to fashion months from New York to Paris, took a brief breather in the Middle East for soccer’s biggest event.

From cheering on her native Brazil, and attending exciting soccer games, to reconnecting with longtime Brazilian friends, Mello made a point to squeeze in some sightseeing and even a few HIIT-style workouts with personal training and fitness group DOGPOUND while she was there. Go inside her soccer-filled trip in her exclusive photo diary, below.
