Winky Lux – Popsugar – 10 July 2017

Whether you’re a mermaid, unicorn, or space alien princess, we found your next magical product. Winky Lux released another lip balm stain that will make glitter-loving beauty addicts freak the f*ck out. On July 11, the brand is launching Glimmer Balm ($14), a new version of the original Flower Balm lip stain. This time around, instead of featuring a flower in the tube, it has iridescent blue, pink, and purple shimmer. The sparkling product looks like it’s been sprinkled with pixie dust and kissed by unicorns personally for you.

Regina’s Grocery – Grub Street – 9 July 2017

Italian sandwiches in the Alidoro vein, but built more along the lines of a Chevy pickup or the stuff that comes out of the kitchen at Defonte’s. In a break from tradition, Bensonhurst-born co-owner Roman Grandinetti named the heros not after Italian-American celebrities (no Joe Pescis or Steve Schirripas here) but members of his own family.

Andreja Pejic – Vice – 5 July 2017

This July, Andreja Pejic, a transgender model from Yugoslavia and Australia, will land two career firsts. The first is becoming increasingly common among fashion magazine heavyweights: With the current issue of Harper’s Bazaar Serbia, Pejic will become the first transgender model to appear on the cover of any edition of Harper’s Bazaar.

LES Pizza – Eater – 28 June 2017

Sauce has opened LES Pizza, a walk-up window offering after-hours eats when its sit-down sibling closes at 11 p.m. Look for thin-crust pizza with an emphasis on toppings. Though owner Adam Elzer is especially proud of the plain slice ($16 for a whole plain pie), the menu lists options you’d find in a pasta bowl on a pizza, like rigatoni with meatballs, or sausage and broccoli pizza.
